• Claudio Pantè - A Life - Claudio's hardest challenge was accepting his disability and against the odds he just wanted to be like everybody else. With the determination from himself and his mum everything fell into place. 6 December 2011.

• National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week 2012 date announced - Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week 2012 will be held from Monday July 30th to Sunday August 5th. National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week (CP Week) is celebrated annually to recognise the achievements of people with cerebral palsy and to create greater awareness, understanding and acceptance. 5 December 2011.

August 2011

• Cerebral Palsy Australia welcomes NDIS support - Cerebral Palsy Australia welcomes the Government’s announcement that they support the vision of a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Monday 22nd August 2011.

• Picnic a popular people-pleaser - More than 5000 people enjoyed some fun in the sun at the Cerebral Palsy League’s 2011 Picnic in the Park presented by Treasury Hotel & Casino. Tuesday 9th August 2011.

July 2011

• A better start for children with cerebral palsy - Children aged under six years can register to access early intervention funding of up to $12,000 as of 1 July 2011. Tuesday 14th June 2011

• Testing power of cord blood - Australian children with cerebral palsy will be offered a pioneering treatment using their own umbilical-cord blood to provide some of the world's first evidence about its effectiveness at repairing damaged brain tissue. The Age, Thursday 7th April 2011.

• New Ambassador for Cerebral Palsy Australia - The Hon. K.L. Vincent has been appointed Ambassador for Cerebral Palsy Australia. Kelly Vincent is a Member of the Legislative Council for political party Dignity for Disability, promoting Dignity through Choice for people with disabilities, their families, carers and networks in South Australia. 19 December 2010.
